Read-Only security for custom fields makes fields unviewable

Hi folks, when I restrict a custom field to read-only access for a particular set of viewers, the field is no longer visible to these viewers. When I give the viewers full permissions to the field, they can see it again.

This happens with Field Security Plugin version 1.4.9_51 and Jira v5.1.6

Select your preferred way to display the comments and click "Save settings" to activate your changes.

I have the same issue with Jira 5.2.5 and this is a definite showstopper that will prevent me to use this plugin in a 500+ user implementation.

No, Quisapps support never replied, so I gave up on the software.

i have this same issue..jira 5.1.2 and JFS version 1.4.8_51

was a resolution ever found?
